We’re still over 8 months away from Apple releasing its next smartphone, yet the iPhone 11 leaks are coming in already.
We’ve already had a slew of rumors and leaks, which have been supposedly confirmed as real.
And with there only being 8 months till launch, most of the designs we are seeing leaked are still subject to change; but how much so given Apple will soon be in the testing phase is up for debate.
A while back Apple were possibly contemplating a different refresh rate to the current tik tok strategy: Year 1 – Major update, Year 2 – refresh update. Changing to a possibly 3 year strategy.
Apple seems to be sticking to the current tick tock strategy so expect the iPhone 11 to be launched towards of September 2019, with release a few weeks later.
From what we are seeing from the latest iPhone 11 leaks, the lenses seem to be the same as the Apple iPhone 10S Max, which are:
- dual 12MP wide-angle and telephoto; comprising of a wide-angle f1.8 aperture and a telephoto f2.4 aperture.
- And then an additional third lens.
Back from September 2019, I bring you the very 1st and very early glimpse at which I guess #Apple will unveil as #iPhoneXI!!! Yes, time has already come to meet the new #iPhone through gorgeous 5K renders made on behalf of new coming Partner @digitindia -> https://t.co/b6SxFUS2tx pic.twitter.com/97jrlTHQ5G— Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) January 6, 2019
The larger quad flash and microphone are moved to between the 3 lenses. There are some possible design arrangements, but I think we’re looking at a square module.
If this is true, it would be a radical design direction from Apple. It’s obviously not the most aesthetic design Apple have produced, which is why I am personally highly dubious that this is what the final model will be.
However this design is being widely reported from various sources who all seem to feel these design leaks are real.
The front design is less controversial. From the leaks Apple seem to be sticking to the controversial notch design.
However the notch should shrink, whilst also staying in the middle of the top.
We have yet to see any leaks of Apple employing the pinhole design like Samsung will do with the Galaxy S10.
Or even if they could blow everyone out of water with the camera under the glass sans notch or pinhole.
Not much seems to be changing here. We should be getting 3 models, a XL size, standard and affordable model:
- Apple iPhone 11 Max (6.5’ OLED)
- Apple iPhone 11 (5.8’ OLED)
- Apple iPhone XR2 (6.1’ LCD)
